About the Toolkit
Child Care Resources is a not-for-profit agency that was founded in 1995 to help coordinate, assist, and strengthen child care services. As Monmouth County’s contracted child care resource and referral agency, Child Care Resources administers child care subsidy assistance to low-wage families on behalf of the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development. We also work with about 400 child care providers who represent all types of child care (licensed child care centers and preschools, Registered Family Child Care Homes, summer camps, and before/after-school programs) to support high-quality care (e.g., through training, onsite technical assistance, and support to become licensed or registered).
The toolkit concept is part of CCR’s strategy to partner with employers to expand access to child care for employees. Quality child care is essential to a thriving county economy. We are hopeful that the menu of options contained in the toolkit will help employers understand the ways in which they can lean in to be part of the county’s solution to expanding access to affordable, high-quality child care for working parents.
